On September 9th, 2025 In honor of Life Insurance Awareness Month, we brought the Miami community together at Mr. Baguette in Wynwood for an afternoon centered around one simple question:
We all say “I love you,” but what if love came with receipts?
Hosted by Last Farewells and Talitha Nascimento alongside Phillipe Laurent Valles and Ernette Martin of New York Life, Love Insurance created space to talk openly about life insurance, end-of-life planning, legacy, and what it really means to protect the people we love.
The goal was never to make the conversation feel heavy. Instead, we wanted to reframe planning as something deeply human: love in action.
Guests connected over meaningful conversations, expanded their networks, shared personal perspectives, and explored how financial protection and emotional preparation can work together to create a more complete legacy.
And of course, we had a little fun too. Social Recap
Throughout the afternoon, guests had the opportunity to win sponsored prizes, including a bottle of wine from a local winery, a family pack of tickets to an official fair during Art Basel Miami weekend, and additional giveaways. Every guest also left with a small gift as a reminder of the experience and the conversations we shared.
What made the event special was the balance of education, connection, and community. We broke bread, met new people, discussed topics many families often avoid, and created a welcoming environment where conversations about love, protection, grief, planning, and legacy could happen naturally.
For me, this is what financial wellness should look like.
It is not only about numbers. It is about people, relationships, preparation, and stewardship.
Life insurance is financial protection.
Planning is preparation.
And sometimes, both are simply another way of saying: I love you.
Thank you to Last Farewells, Bonfim Nascimento, Partners at New York Life, Mr. Baguette, our sponsors, our guests, and everyone who helped make Love Insurance such a meaningful afternoon.
Here’s to creating more spaces where our community can connect, learn, plan, and build legacies with intention.
Love deeply. Plan intentionally. Protect what matters.
